The Hunt
Getting to see the end of a hunt was fascinating. The lions had just killed a wildebeest, and several groups of wildlife immediately circled around, in a surprising orderly way!
Once the lions ate what they wanted, the hyenas came in and had at the scraps. The hyena's jaw strength is incredible, and you could hear the bones crunching as they ripped the skeleton apart!
Next in the pecking order was the jackals. Being small and fast, these little daredevils would dart in and grab a little snack while the lions were eating, only to then be chased by the hyenas as they hightailed it out!
Once the jackals were satisfied, the vultures came in to take care of the organs.
